Pre-Reg Optometrists

The Rayner Group is well known for its excellent training
programmes, offering the highest quality pre-registration
and refresher packages. You will get the best possible start
to your professional career by applying to join us for your
pre-registration year.

Highly Experienced Trainers

Your training programme will ensure you obtain the
widest possible knowledge and experience during your pre-registration year. You will work alongside highly experienced supervisors in our practices. They will assist you with your examination technique as well as being available on a day-to-day basis to give you support and advice.

Hospital Experience

We will organize hospital experience for you. You will spend
time in pathology, orthoptics, LVA and other specialist clinics.
Opportunities for attending surgical sessions may also
be arranged.

Contact Lens Experience

You will work with experienced contact lens opticians and will be encouraged to fit a minimum of one new patient every week. Clinical assessments will be held during the year.

Continuing Education

The Rayner Group has a policy of continuing education for
all its registered optometrists and will encourage you to
attend courses.

Examination Success

We will pay practical examination fees in full at the first attempt. It’s part of our investment in your success. Regular test papers, refresher seminars and study leave will ensure that you are well prepared. We have an enviable success rate in getting students through their final exams.
